Tattoos For Girls Don't Have To Be Girly

by Tim Croy

Feminist thinking is an issue of which both conservatives and liberals are aware. Today, women have begun the process of challenging roles from which they have long been excluded. An excellent example of this has occurred in tattoo parlors, where tattoos for girls have changed dramatically.

Countless magazines, movies, television shows, photographs, and magazine advertisement portray females with tattoos. Usually, they display tattoos on the ankle, lower back, or sometimes the hip. These women certainly look sexy with their tattoos. Typically, these tattoos feature butterflies, flowers, and other similar designs.

These are all popular tattoo positions and designs, and for good reason. They're sexy, they attract men, and they're not something that you're going to get tired of looking at. For many girls, these tattoos are great choices. They may reflect a feminine personality, and they're probably not going to attract too much unwanted attention.

For those women looking for a unique tattoo, however, they might consider getting a bit creative and daring. Consider favorite hobbies. Perhaps some sports design would be a good choice. Perhaps there is a famous quote that you would consider having tattooed on your skin. These designs can also be made to look more feminine through the use of ornate embellishments, such as flowers and vines.

Just being a girl does not require you to get the kind of tattoo that the majority of people think girls ought to get. If your arms are one of your best features and you want to show them off, consider getting your tattoo there. If you really like your legs and want to have people looking at them often, sign up for a leg tattoo! Anywhere on your body is a good place to get a tattoo.

For those who just cannot make the decision about which design to get, consider seeking inspiration for your creativity. Look through examples of tattoos other people have received. Consider asking friends or colleagues where they found their ideas. Search through the internet, or browse the galleries at a nearby tattoo parlor for ideas.

Other, more daring, methods are available too. Consider your favorite movie. If you re-watch it, you might find the idea for which you are searching. Think about your favorite musical group, or your favorite song. Is one of their lyrics a great idea for a tattoo?

The most exciting part of getting a tattoo is that YOU are in charge. YOU choose the design. YOU pick the location. If you want a girly tattoo, get a girly tattoo, but remember that tattoos for girls don't always have to be girly any more.
