Use The Power Of Visualization To Lose Weight
You have probably heard of visualization. After all, almost every self-improvement method uses visualization in one way or another. But did you know that you can use it for weight loss, as well? This article will give you a few tips on how to do so.
For men, your visualization can be a mental image of yourself that is muscular and healthy. Visualize yourself in a brand new pair of sleek jeans.
If you're a woman, start visualizing yourself as thin and fit. Imagine yourself in a bikini, all toned up.
If you find it hard to visualize an image of your body the way you want it to be, you can use a picture. Either a picture of yourself when you were slimmer or someone else's. You can find tons of pictures on the Internet or in magazines. Just find the body that you think is beautiful and cut it out. Then, paste a picture of your face over it so you can use it to visualize yourself.
While you are visualizing, mentally state self-affirmations. Make sure to use present tense phrases. For example, "I am happy that I am slim and healthy." Not, "I will be slim …"
How often should you practice visualization? Well, the more you practice it, the more effective it becomes. But 2 or 3 times a day is good enough. Just set a few minutes for yourself. And you can practice anywhere that you can concentrate on your mental images.
It has been demonstrated that your mind can affect your body. Thus, visualizing affects both your mental and phsycial wellbeing. When you remain focused on becoming thin, your wishes have a higher possibility of coming true.
Now that you have the basics of how visualization works, you can use it effectively to lose weight. You do know that you will not have a new slim body overnight. But by using visualization, your weight loss may happen a lot sooner than you had hoped for.
