Skin Care : Skin Care Ingredients and Their Roles

by Ray Lam

These days with so many ingredients both natural and synthetic that goes into our skin care products, it is good to have at least some idea what they key ingredients are and the role they play. Equipped with this knowledge, you can at least narrow down your search when buying skin care products or to identifiy certain ingredients that may cause some allergic reactions to your skin.

DMAE – DMAE is an acronym for dimethylaminoethanol, which is a substance that naturally occurs that stimulates a substance of phosphatidylcholine, an important component of cell membranes. DMAE is used in antiaging skin care creams to reduce facial sag by tightening the skin giving it the name, "facelift in a jar".

Matrixyl – Matrixyl also known as palmitoyl pentapeptide-3 is a peptide that is used in products for its skin repairing and wound healing properties. Matrixyl is the main active ingredient in Strivectin, which was initially marketed as a stretch mark reducer, but later discovered as an effective product for wrinkles and fine lines.

Besides a great moisturizer, you want your skin care ingredients to include something like aloe in some cases. Aloe is great for the skin, and can help sooth a sunburn. If you can find a great skin care lotion that has sun screen in it, this is a plus as well. This can help keep sun from damaging the skin, and that is one way to prevent some wrinkles in the first place.

These are a few of the most important ingredients in skin care products. If you have any skin problems, there are skin care products that can help you with those specific problems. Many of the ingredients listed above can also be found in supplements and various foods. The next time you are buying skin care products, look for the ingredients list and see if they have any of the vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants listed above. If they do, you know that your skin will be benefiting by the skin care product.

Unique Belly Dancing Attire

by Charlie Reese

Belly Dancing Wear with its Accessories

The belly dancing costume including all the accessories can be regarded as the Belly Dancing Wear. The beautiful flowing skirts, the bras and cholis, the belts and the earrings, or even a headpiece that is worn belong to the costume of any belly dancer.

Skirt

The Belly Dancing Wear can be created by you from the array of costumes which are available. The skirt is popularly worn by all belly dancers, and it is basically a circular skirt. The ten-tiered skirt also looks beautiful just like the cabaret skirt, with slits on the sides.

The skirt is often studded with beaded tassels or sequins to make it look bright. Some dancers like to wear harem pants or sometimes a simple caftan. A coat can be worn on the coat to accentuate the flow of the pants.

Belt and Bra

The belts and bras are an important part of the Belly Dancing Wear as well. There is a choice of coin belts, beaded belts or jeweled belts and the same can be had of bras. Of course the fit can easily be made according to you, because the clothes have to be comfortable and practical for your performance.

Accessories

Hip scarves are also in fashion among Belly Dancing Wear. As Accessories to your sequined bra, belt and skirt, you can wear a matching headpiece or arm cuffs. An Egyptian cobra arm cuff or an Indian snake arm cuff with matching anklets with belts would be ideal for a performance. You can be a sparkling figure on stage with a crystal necklace and matching crystal earrings.

Props

Belly dance performance can easily be enhanced by using a selection of props which can be included in your Belly Dancing Wear. Use silk or chiffon veils, or even feather boas to make an impact. A caftan would also be a good idea to wear between performances. You could try out Cholis embroidered with coins or even don tribal clothes to achieve the tribal belly dance look.

Combination And Features

You can definitely stitch your own costume, but if you cannot, you can surely make some good combinations of a skirt, bra, belt, headpiece and the jewelry to go with it. Often the Belly Dancing Wear is according to the venue of your performance.

The most important thing for your wear is that it has to be comfortable and you should be able to belly dance without any problems. The price should be affordable too, and you should check out prices on different websites and then take your decision.

It is possible to buy the basic costume from somewhere and then add the beads and sequins according to your own creative ideas. Since belly dance has originated from the East, from Turkey and Egypt, most of the costumes have patterns and fabrics from these countries to give them an authentic touch.

Personal Coaching – Learn The Smartest Way

by George Purdy

It's hard to understand why some people enjoy more success than others. There is no one reason for this phenomenon. For centuries, there has been a group of people that have been able to find a niche for themselves. Today's fast-paced environment means that to succeed a person must have an edge over others. To achieve your goals, you will have to work hard and also work smart.

Go to any library or bookstore, and you will discover shelves of texts, each promising a "surefire" method to succeed. These texts each have their place, and have aided some individuals. However, it is important to acknowledge the limitations of so called "book learning." It is always better to have a real human who can react to you and your issues in real time.

You should not discount the benefits of having a mentor or personal coach. Looking back through history there are numerous great leaders who reached success with the help of a mentor. That is why you need a personal coach to succeed in almost any field. Your mentor can identify your weaknesses and help you work on them.

For example, bodybuilding takes a lot of mental motivation and physical training. Check out a few web sites and read about various exercises and techniques for building muscle. Still, personal coaching will be much more useful than any other tool or technique. Equally, in order to succeed in business, personal coaching would be or immense help.

Self confidence, force of will, and plain old determination are all vitally important for you to succeed. But what if you want to quickly excel, say in your education or career? If you need rapid results, then what you are looking for is personal coaching. Personal coaching is a good, fast path to quickly becoming a skilled professional at whatever you may do.

Weaknesses are not a weakness when working with a personal coach. The coach will help you turn a weakness into a strength. Software development requires very skilled individuals. Engineers and managers are the key staff for such a company. To help promoted increased productivity, coaching may be used on an individual level.

A personal coach can help people succeed in almost any field. Your mentor can identify your weaknesses and help you work on them. Personal coaching can help provide the motivation you would need. In virtually any endeavor, even in the business world, personal coaches can help you to excel. Determination, will-power, confidence, and motivation are undoubtedly important for success. However, if you want quick results (as far as your education or career is concerned), you should consider working with a good personal coach to help you become a confident, skilled professional.

Signs of Diabetes in Kids

by Marcus Clarkson

When it comes to knowing whether your child is suffering from diabetes it is important that you understand what the signs and symptoms of this condition are. In most cases today there are plenty of places where you can obtain the right information concerning skings of diabetes in kids. The best place often to start your search would be the internet.

What is also important to note is that there are several different types of Diabetes that both children and adults can suffer from. However, for children the most common form is known as Type 1 Diabetes. It is this type of diabetes which will actually prevent the body from producing insulin which it needs.

Although some children may suffer from Type 2 the problem with Type 1 is that the onset of this condition happens very quickly. Whilst with Type 2 it can take some time before any of the signs or symptoms begin to appear. Below we take a look at the most common signs associated with Type 1.

1. A child needs to go to the toilet more often than usual. Because the child's body is not actually able to produce enough insulin in order to convert glucose into energy any excess glucose passes immediately through to the urinary tract. Once there it absorbs water and this in turn results in the child needing to urinate more often than they should.

2. A kid will start to drink more. This is a result of the excess glucose that their body is unable to get rid of actually absorbing fluids it already has. So if you do find that your child happens to be drinking more and going to the toilet more often, then it would be wise to arrange an appointment with your doctor as soon as you can.

3. When it comes to what are the signs for diabetes another one that often may make you believe that your child has this condition is that they eat more. Again this is a result of their bodies being unable to convert the glucose into energy correctly. So they tend to eat more in order to help counteract the problem.

4. Another sign of Diabetes in kids is that they may suddenly start to complain that they feel tired very quickly. Even if they have had a good nights sleep because their body is unable to absorb glucose to make energy they will feel tired and lethargic even if they are not doing anything.

5. The final sign of Diabetes in kids is that although they are eating and drinking more they are actually losing weight. Because their body is not getting enough glucose from what they consume to provide their body with energy it is having to take it from elsewhere. The quickest way for a child's body to do is this by using up any stored fat that the body may have. Also because a child needs to urinate more they are losing more fluids than their body can absorb and this further leads to weight loss.

When Stretch Marks Occur: How To Deal

by Maia Pells

Anyone can get stretch marks. However, it is the women who, more often than not, often check to see if they have stretch marks so that they can treat and get rid of them early on. This is especially true for women who have given birth to babies. They will want to get rid of the stretch marks that have occurred from the stretching of skin during pregnancy. But in general, people who do have them do not really known what to do when stretch marks occur. This is the reason why most people will not do anything to stop them from forming.

What Are Stretch Marks?

To dermatologists, the condition is known as striae. They are actually scars but they are not physical scars, meaning they are not found on the epidermis of the skin. They are found just underneath in the area known as the dermis.

Weight Gain – When the body experiences a sudden change in growth, like when someone gains weight, the skin also stretches. The problem is that if the skin is not healthy enough, the dermis will tear and this is essentially how the stretch mark starts to form. The final result of a stretch mark is a silvery line and these lines are found in places where the skin has stretched. The usually areas are the stomach, thighs, arms, and buttocks.

What To Do

Early Detection – When stretch marks occur, it is ideal that you detect them first. You will not feel a stretch mark occur and so it is up to you to inspect your body to see if there are any newly formed stretch marks. These are easily identifiable as they look like reddened or purple lines. This means that the dermis has newly torn and that area is well on its way to developing stretch marks.

Prevention – You can actually prevent the stretch mark from worsening and becoming harder to remove. One way to do this is to make sure that you drink a lot of water (about 8 glasses minimum a day) and also make sure to exercise a little. The water is to hydrate the body and keep the skin as elastic as possible. The exercise is to get your blood flowing and also to get rid of any fats that cause your skin to stretch. You might also want to change your diet into something that is rich in essential fats such as those found in fish.

Your Options – If you have stretch marks that you may have overlooked before and still want to get rid of them, there are surgical and medical procedures that you can choose from. One way is to use medicated creams.

Laser Surgery Treatment – You also have the option of getting laser surgery to have the lines removed permanently. This is a pricey option but at least you won't have to worry about the stretch marks forming again. These are all measures that you can try out when stretch marks occur around your body. Otherwise, keeping a healthy body and maintaining a good diet and exercise routine should help prevent stretch marks from ever forming in the first place.
