Flat Stomach Tips

by Paul Bryant

Mirror mirror tell me the truth, which fruit do I look like, apple or pear? Was this your dialogue this morning when you stood in front of your mirror? Are you happy to see your fruitzilla figure?

If you still are unaware about your actual trouble then the time is ripe for you to realize that you have serious accumulation of extra fat around your hips, thighs, butt, pelvic region or middle zone.

There are a number of ways which you can take up to fight these menacing belly bulges and get your flat stomach back. The most effective way is to start a healthy living and follow a well planned fitness-program. You will happily watch your tummy shrinking gradually!

It is important to reduce extra ounces. Obesity with the BMI 34 or more than that can cause health hazards. Holistic practices like yoga can destroy the accumulated fats tissues around your stomach zone. Well chosen and perfectly balanced diets can provide you a flat tummy and can keep you safe from various ailments like insulin resistance syndrome, cancer, hyperglycemia, high cholesterol, heart disease etc which also can cause heavier abdomen.

Practice meditation everyday to keep your stress under control. It is evident that Cortisol, a stress related hormone, can stimulate fat storage in the abdomen. Increase your metabolic rate to target deeper muscles. Take up abdomen-exercises, aerobics, yoga, brisk walking, sit-ups etc to burn fat (but dont over-do).

Exercises, specifically meant for strengthening, toning and tightening of abdominal-muscles (like pelvic tilt, lift, twist etc) are very much effective to achieve an hour-glass figure. Start exercise at a moderate intensity which gradually shrinks the fat-stomach. But always consult a doctor or personal trainer about the work-out program suitable for you before kick-starting any physical exercise.

Never go for a strict diet-plan to achieve a prompt result. It adversely affects your health whereas the lost weight comes back in no time. Take small, frequent (4-5 times a day) and balanced meals. Include plenty of fresh fruits, juices and green vegetables in your daily intake, but cut down sugar and saturated-fat.

Skipping meals is a strict No No! It wont reduce your fat-belly. Enjoy your food but dont eat just to kill time, anxiety or boredom. It will rather increase your problem. To target a good health, proper fitness, toned body and flat-stomach, the must dos are: well-balanced diet, controlled stress, and proper exercise. No one can stop you from getting a beautiful and flat-stomach.

How I Stopped Compulsive Overeating

by Nadine Ann

How I did it: I went to school for nutrition, stress management, psychology and holistic health along with eating disorders and became a specialist. I wrote a full treatment program from everything I had learned and healed my disorder.

What You Can Do: The first and foremost thing I advise my clients to do is to stop criticizing themselves. Criticizing oneself does nothing more than add insult to injury and it only manifests into greater feelings of negativity. When you stop criticizing yourself your body and brain will begin to realize that you are on their side and they do not need to be at such war with each other.

The second step we cover in the program is understanding the inner war that is going on between your compulsive eating side and your healthy side. You are so stressed out that your binging half says, "Sure go ahead and eat all that food. It will make you feel better". The other half of you that thinks you need to stop binging says, "You need to control yourself. Normal people don't do this". By writing down what is happening when you feel this war, it could help you gain insight into your own feelings.

The third process we go through is finding the main cause of compulsive overeating. You are overeating to cover a problem or to reduce the day to day stress that is hard to handle. Binging can then become habit forming and can continue even after you have dissolved some of your stress. But there is still some deep seated reason you are not facing that makes you feel not good enough. Getting to the bottom of the issue can help you move on.

Fourth, as we talk about compulsive overeating, we need to learn about the different types of binges there are. Sometimes an overeater may start out binging because they are sad or lonely and the binges become habit forming. Soon that person may find others reasons to binge such as boredom or that there was an opportunity to binge.

Fifth is to reduce your stress. Stress is a huge contributor to binge eating. So work on reducing your stress by relaxation or meditation, become organized, face fears, and by using facts to determine the severity of situations instead of using your emotions.

The sixth step involves a fantastic goal setting process called "chunking". Chunking allows the brain and body to work together so simplistically that there is no resistance to reaching goals. It is totally brilliant! Here's what I mean by that. Let's say your main goal is to drink eight glasses of water a day for a total of 64 ounces. You currently drink about a half a glass a day which is 4 ounces. Now if you were to set that goal and start right away your body would scream and resist. But if you were to take that goal and break it down into tiny "chunks" your mind and body would not even notice the change. So your goal would be, "I will brink 1 glass of water each day for the next four days." Then after the four days are up and you have successfully completed that simple broken down goal you can then add a little bit more to it. Your next goal would then be "i will drink two glasses of water for the next four days".

Seventh recommendation is to continually focus on what you want, not on what you don't want. Let me explain that a bit more. Every thought you have creates more thoughts in your mind and they tend to attract like thoughts. You want to make sure the language you are using is always positive in focus. If I were to say I don't want to be a compulsive overeater anymore your brain is hearing the word compulsive overeater. I am stating what I don't want to happen. Instead if I said I want to eat healthy meals and feel happy then I am focusing on what I really do want. I know this may seem so basic but it may be the most powerful thing you can do.

And finally, I hope to convey to you that you have the power to stop compulsive overeating. With the right tools and the right attitude and a desire to move forward, you can absolutely make the changes you need to get that done.

You can do it!

Your Email Address: What Does it Say?

by Robbi Hess

You love cactus or cemeteries or even incense. Does your email address announce that in terms like: cactuslover123 or graveyardsrule or even incenseburner345? What message is that sending to a potential employer, professional contact, or college recruiter?

Remember, you only get one chance to make a first impression? Well that counts as much in email "introductions" as it does in face-to-face meetings. When an email pops into an inbox, the first thing the receiver sees is your email address, so make certain it's a professional image your address is projecting. You don't want to have a door close before you even had a chance to get a foot in, do you?

If possible choose your name for your email address. If your "actual name" isn't available try it in a different form; hyphenate it, put a period between your first and last names, add in your middle initial. If you simply don't want your name on an email address go for something with a professional feel and look. Are you a graphic designer or a woodworker? Put that in your email address, for example: graphicdesignersuzy or jon.woodworker. Those addresses show your name while announcing a bit about your talent.

If you have your own business or a website, check to see if the site host that you use offers email addresses with your business name attached. Some of the free services even offer a paid email version where you can get an address that incorporates your name, such as john@johnsmith.com. Depending on what type work you are seeking, this might be a way to go.

Your friends may have always complimented you on the clever email address you use. But it's likely that your friends aren't going to be offering you employment or opening doors to colleges so use your personal email address for that correspondence but find something more professional for strangers with whom you may be trying to get face-to-face meetings with.

Are you seeking success? Admission to a good college? Don't let your email address hold you back. Don't send a negative message to a stranger behind a desk before they even open your resume and give it a look. In today's electronic age, your email address is your first impression. Be certain you're making a good one.

Exercise Precautions Using Phentermine

by Jack P. Pall

Phentermine is easily available online without a doctor's prescription. However, purchase them from a trusted site only. The drug is a hunger suppressant and helps people to lose weight easily.

What the drug essentially does is to block the messages that give signals for the brain to start eating in order to satiate the hunger. After taking the pill, a person isn't hungry and in this way is able to lose weight. However, it's important that they also eat in moderation and do some form of physical exercise.

Those that take this drug can hope to lose as much as 15 pounds quite easily. Phentermine is also a part of the group of drugs called amphetamine. Having the drug provides stimulation to the nervous system.

Some of the popular names under which the drug is sold are known as Fastin, Ionamin, Plegine, and Sanorex. After taking the drug, don't perform hazardous activities as it can be dangerous for your life and others as well. So people should avoid even driving after taking the drug.

Some of the usual side effects that are seen are dizziness, headaches, blurred vision. The drug can affect the mental and physical soundness of a person after consumption. Don't use the drug for a long time, as one can get addicted to the drug. In fact, you can even have severe withdrawal symptoms, in case you decide to stop taking the drug suddenly.

When you need to stop taking the drug, you should consult the doctor. The pill or the tablet should be consumed whole with a glass of water and should never be crushed or pounded. Sometimes the medicine is also given for patients other than reasons to lose weight.

For many pre existing medical conditions, the drug shouldn't be taken. These pre-existing medical conditions include heart diseases, high blood pressure, and glaucoma. Those that have had previous episodes of drug or alcohol addiction, anxiety disorders and many others should be careful about this situation.

If such medical conditions exist, doctors may not prescribe the medication, or may prescribe a lower dosage than usual. Phentermine shouldn't be used in the evening or night as it can cause insomnia. The drug should be stored at room temperature away from direct heat and moisture.
